GearHanks started the way many good products do: out of necessity.

After carrying a cut-up shop rag to handle life’s little messes, Brenda offered to make something better. One prototype led to another, and before long we realized we weren’t just solving a personal problem — we were creating something people genuinely needed.

What began at our kitchen table has since grown into a brand trusted by thousands.

Since 2020, more than 10,000 GearHanks are in circulation, carried daily by people who appreciate thoughtful design, durability, and craftsmanship.

Every GearHank is handmade in Detroit, Michigan — a city that understands hard work, resilience, and the pride that comes from building things the right way.

We take that responsibility seriously.
